Rent-a-boat with skipper in Croatia

Start Your Croatia Sea adventure from the heart of Dalmatia, the most densely island packed region on the Adriatic Sea.

You start your trip from Marina Pirovac, Pirovac bay, and head out to discover how the Sea has shaped this beautiful landscape.

First in your path will be the island Sustipanac, locally known as "Island of love", it is a small island, but it has its own attractions, cliff jumping and snorkeling.

Opposite the island is Jazine Bay, a quiet bay with a couple of bars when the south wind blows, but the sea carries us further...

You reach the passage between the island of Murter and the small island Zminjak, natives of Murter Island are true seafaring people and for generations, they have looked after and managed the sea and surrounding islands, including Kornati National Park.

Murter Island has several beaches and many small bays, the most famous are the sandy beach Slanica, Čigrađa, Kosirina, we take a look, but the sea carries us further...

Once You exit the bay, on the horizon You will first see island Vrgada and its famous sandy Red beach with the levitating tree.

There are also some nice domestic restaurants offering fresh fish and seafood.

And then, in the back, 7 nautical miles across the sea Kornati National Park and its largest island Kornat (237 metres high), surrounded by 88 smaller islands.

On Your left and right are the islands Kaprije, Kakan, Žirje, Pašman with dozens of smaller islands surrounding them, but let’s leave their beautiful mysteries for some other adventure and let the sea carry us to Kornati.

After a short ride You arrive at Opat gate (southern entrance of Kornati), and once You turn around the corner, you are in the rocky pearl of the Adriatic Sea, Kornati National Park!

89 Islands, the most indented island group on the Mediterranean Sea, Fort of Tureta - the oldest fortress on the Adriatic of the Byzantine era, built in the sixth century, abundance of marine life and vegetation, including dolphins, countless coves to enjoy swimming and snorkeling and let's not forget gastronomy, since the locals fish these waters, grow their own olive trees, raise sheep on the islands, the food experience is also something not to be missed.

The offshore island series is characterized by crowns - cliffs, steep slopes facing the open sea. Crowns are the result of cracking and decay of the Earth's crust and erosion and abrasion processes.

The highest Kornati crown is 82 meters high and is located on the island of Klobučar. While the longest crown is 1350 meters long and is located on the island Mana (if you want to go on a hike, one of the most beautiful lookouts is located on the island).

Slowly heading north, towards Proversa (northern entrance of Kornati), You find yourself leaving Kornati and entering a peaceful oasis called Nature Park Telašćica.

This island is called Dugi Otok, and it has many, many amazing secrets, even the popular show "Surviver" was filmed here, among others....

But let's start from your current location, Telašćica bay, deeply carved into the southern side of Dugi Otok, this bay is protected from bigger waves, thus making it a perfect spot to pull out some water toys like a donut, wakeboard, paddle board and just have fun!

Moving deeper in the bay, you arrive at the docks of Nature Park, from here you can experience another wonder of this island, just a short walk and you find yourself at salt lake “Mir”, this lake is connected to the sea with small underground cracks, from which the Sea was slowly piercing through and making this wonder of nature.

Lake Mir (Mir is Croatian word for peace) is shallow, only 6 meters deep, making its water temperature to wary extremely, in summer over 30°C, if the Sea is too cold for You to swim, this lake in the summer won’t be. In the winter months it can drop down to 5°C.

After your time here, you head back to the boat and the Sea.

Now the Sea takes you on the offshore side of Dugi Otok, where high cliffs dominate the horizon like they are guarding the peaceful oasis of the lake and bay behind them.

But this side of the island has its own gems. In the middle of this side there are breathtaking caves of Golubinka and Dragons Eye, where you can simply swim inside and have Your own moment of discovery.

On the surrounding stone ridges of this region, there are discoveries of fossilized remains of dinosaurs and other organisms which inhabited this region 100 million years ago, so the region has been declared a protected part of nature.

Now you head north to your final destination on this trip, Sakarun sandy beach!

This world-famous white sand beach has found its way on many top lists of beaches across Europe and the world. Also named in "The Most Beautiful Bays of the World" list. Because of its beauty and biodiversity, it is also protected, under the category of significant landscape.

As the Sun slowly starts to set, you can relax on the soft cushions of the outer deck, and watch it fade away in the distance, as the Sea carries you home to Pirovac... where this day began.
